What's New in Foneo — Release Notes

    What changed in each Foneo release, described by what you actually see in the app. Get the latest build from the download page, which also keeps the older versions.

    1.20.6

    New

    • Pick your language the first time you open the app
    • Export-with-Photoshop now switches itself off when Photoshop is not installed, instead of failing at export time
    • The Visual Effect intensity selector stays pinned open, so you no longer reopen it every time

    Photoshop

    • Exported files now include Auto-Align and Content-Aware Fill
    • The "Original" layer in the PSD is now the untouched source image, as the name implies
    • macOS: you can now pick Photoshop.app in Preferences

    Stability and storage

    • Saved Images (5 GB limit) and Cache (20 GB limit) are now kept separate; reported size counts every subfolder, so it matches what is actually on disk
    • The app no longer clears cache just because you opened the settings screen — cleanup runs when you ask for it, or when you pass the limit
    • Fixed a database error caused by cache cleanup deleting files that were still in use
    • Windows and Linux: Foneo now uses its own temp folder, avoiding clashes with other apps

    1.20.5

    Three new add-ons

    • Body Shape — slim the figure, with an intensity slider
    • Head Swap — swap a face using a reference photo you upload
    • Visual Effect — a new set of artistic image effects

    Existing add-ons improved

    • Skin Retouch and Makeup: group photos now show a box around each face, so you can click the exact face to work on
    • ID Photo: new option to keep the original clothing
    • Lighting Effect: new option to turn off light rays

    Quality and storage

    • Default preview quality raised to 2K, so you see more detail before exporting
    • New Saved Images screen in Settings — review and clear storage from inside the app
    • A quick link to image management now sits on the add-on panel
    • Preview settings now show current storage use and the limit

    Subscription

    • When a plan expires, the app says so clearly and offers an upgrade path without leaving the app

    Fixes

    • Face detection no longer runs in the background on add-ons that do not need it
    • Add-ons that require a newer app version now tell you up front instead of failing mid-run

    New

    • Send results to Photoshop. From the result screen, hand the photo straight to Photoshop as a two-layer PSD: Original underneath, Result on top at 80% opacity so you can see through it to compare and keep editing. Works on both macOS and Windows.
    • My Prompts. Save the prompts you use often, name them, edit them and attach them to a specific tool so you don't retype them next time.
    • Dedicated settings panels for four tools. Enhance Face, Makeup AI, Skin Retouch and Style Transfer now have their own settings panels instead of sharing one generic form.
    • Pick templates without leaving the panel. Browse and choose a built-in template right where you are.

    Improved

    • Redesigned the drag-and-drop area and the summary of uploaded photos.
    • The app version is now shown in the interface, handy when reporting a problem.
    • A maintenance notice appears inside the app while the system is under maintenance.
    • When data fails to load, the screen now says what went wrong instead of sitting blank.
