Remove Glare and Reflections from Glasses with AI

Remove glare and reflections from eyeglasses in portraits with AI. No prompts, no masking, and you can process a whole set of photos at once.

    Before
    After

Glasses and studio lights rarely get along. A softbox, a flash, a ring light or a bright window shows up as a white patch on the lenses, and the eyes behind them disappear. For a portrait, a headshot or a wedding photo, the eyes are the first thing people look at, so a reflection in the wrong place can ruin an otherwise good frame.

Fixing it by hand means rebuilding the eye area behind the lens: cloning, painting, matching skin and iris detail. It is slow, and it is hard to make it look natural.

Reflection Removal in Foneo removes glare and reflections from eyeglasses with AI and restores what sits behind the lens, so the eyes look clear and natural again.

    Where it helps

    • Portraits and headshots shot with softboxes, ring lights or flash that reflect in the lenses.
    • Wedding and event photos where you cannot ask guests to tilt their glasses for every shot.
    • Corporate and team photos where many people wear glasses and every photo needs the same clean result.
    • Photos taken near windows where the bright window shows up in the lenses.

    One click, no setup

Reflection Removal needs no prompt, no template and no masking. Select the photo, click Apply, and Foneo finds the reflections on the lenses and removes them.

You can select several photos at once and process them together, which makes it practical for a full headshot session or a set of event photos.

    How it works

    1. Open your photos in Foneo and choose Reflection Removal.
    2. Select one photo or several photos.
    3. Click Apply, compare the result with the original, then export it or open it in Photoshop.

If a result is not right, select the photo again and click Apply to process it once more.

    Getting the best result

    • Use the sharpest, highest-resolution version of the photo. More detail around the eyes gives the AI more to work with.
    • Prefer frames where part of the eye is still visible. The AI rebuilds hidden areas from what it can see, so a partial reflection gives a more natural result than a lens that is completely white.
    • Check the eyes closely. Look at the iris, eyelids, eyelashes and the frame of the glasses, and make sure both eyes look consistent.
    • Compare before and after to make sure the face still looks like the person.

Avoid the problem on set, fix the rest in post

Tilting the glasses slightly down, raising the main light or moving it further to the side all reduce glare during the shoot. Reflection Removal handles the frames where that was not possible, without spending minutes on each photo in Photoshop.

    Who it is for

Portrait, headshot and wedding photographers, corporate and school photographers working through many subjects with glasses, and retouchers who want to skip slow manual eye repair.

    Frequently asked questions

Do I need to mark the reflection?

No. There is no masking, prompt or template. Select the photo and click Apply.

Can I process a whole session at once?

Yes. Select several photos and apply the effect to all of them in one go.
